Since 1993, the Sustainability Division has provided free, non-regulatory and confidential technical assistance in the areas of pollution prevention, resource conservation, waste reduction, by-product reuse, and recycling.
The division offers a variety of programs to assist Georgia's citizens, manufacturers, businesses, governments, and institutions in preventing waste. Technical assistance is provided in response to phone inquiries, electronic communications, mail, workshops, and on-site visits. the Sustainability Division's technical staff can assist you with many aspects of pollution prevention, including, but not limited to the following:
- reduction of waste
- reuse of waste
- recycling of waste
- water and energy efficiency
- equipment or technology modifications
- substitution of raw materials
- housekeeping and maintenance improvements
- training
- inventory control
